We raise our meat birds in the most natural environment we can provide. It's important to me that the farm animals be offered the ability to fulfill their nature to run about and scratch around, essentially to be a chicken. I settled on a heritage breed - Freedom Ranger - several years ago and there has been no looking back, they are perfect for pastured conditions. And they should be, that is what they were designed in France to do. The breed provides many advantages, it is hardy, it is active and utilizes the nutrition available from the pasture (bugs and such) at a high rate, it is yellow skinned and has more omega 3 in its body, which means that it is actually better for us than the standard American meat bird - the Cornish Cross - it's just win/win for all involved, human and animal.

We are able to provide spring water to our animals via a tested well and offer organic feed and local non GMO corn during finishing.

We process our birds on farm. They are never soaked in bleach water or other chemicals that are used in USDA processing plants.

No medications, no growth supplements, no nothing added!
